CASE STUDY
Cisco 40th Anniversary — Visual Identity & Motion System
Brand Identity · Motion Design · Cross-Platform Asset Management
THE BRIEF: A simple ask — design a 40th anniversary logo. No prescribed direction, no mandated visual language. Just a milestone to mark.
THE INSIGHT: The timing wasn't coincidental. Cisco was mid-acquisition of Splunk, one of the largest in the company's history. This wasn't just an anniversary. It was the beginning of a new chapter.
CREATIVE CONCEPT - NEW BEGINNING: Out of 4–5 distinct directions, the winning concept was built around convergence and emergence. Cisco's brand colors alongside Splunk's palette swirl and orbit before merging into a single unified circle — transforming into the "0" of 40 as the "4" appears to complete the mark.
